Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College - Batad (NIPSC - Batad) is a public academic institution part of the province-wide university system of
Northern Iloilo Polytechnic State College. The campus started out as a vocational and agricultural school in 1965 then was converted into a polytechnic college in 1992 by the virtue of Republic Act 7348. Eventually, the campus was integrated in 1999 as part of the system.
The Batad campus is composed of five (5) undergraduate programs and one (1) associate degree. Its undergraduate programs include courses in
Teacher Education,
Information Technnology, Agriculture, and
Hotel and Restaurant Management. Also offered is an associate degree in
Computer Technology which can be
ladderized to Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. The school, as well as its programs, are duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
