Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology (NONESCOST) is a public higher educational institution in
Sagay City, Negros Occidental. NONESCOST started as the
Old Sagay Barangay High School (OSBHS) in 1970. Eight years later, the school became a municipal high school and, at the same time, was recognized as an extension campus of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF); after five years, the municipal high school was renamed to
ISCOF – Sagay Branch. In 1998, the campus became the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology through the
Republic Act 8448.
NONESCOST currently offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in
Agriculture, Fisheries, Natural Science, Information Technology, Teacher Education, Business and Management, Criminology, Nursing, and
Humanities. Several of these courses are accredited by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines,
(AACCUP) Inc. Aside from these programs, the college also provides
certificate courses, particularly in Midwifery and Teaching.
