What does Notre Dame of Midsayap College stand for?

Notre Dame of Midsayap College (NDMC) is a private Catholic educational institution based in Midsayap, Cotabato. It was established in 1941 as Notre Dame Academy by Oblate priests who wanted to build a Catholic high school in the area. The academy earned its college status in 1960, the same year it first offered collegiate courses. Currently, NDMC is managed by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

The school provides a comprehensive basic education program as well as undergraduate, graduate, and vocational courses. The college department currently offers courses in the areas of Teacher Education, Business Administration, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Information Technology, Criminology, Natural Science, and Nursing. Also offered are graduate programs in Education and in Business Administration. For Senior High School students, available strands are from the Academic, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL), and Sports tracks. Additionally, the college is a TESDA Accredited Assessment and Training Center.

The school and its programs are duly acknowledged by CHED, DepEd, and TESDA. NDMC also received PAASCU accreditations for a number of its programs, like Business Education, Teacher Education, Computer Science, and Liberal Arts. Since its establishment, NDMC has put emphasis on activities that seek to enhance the skills and abilities of its students, developing Christians who actively contribute to nation-building.

Notre Dame of Midsayap College facts:

  • NDMC is considered the first Notre Dame school in the country and in Asia; thus, it is the trailblazer for the Notre Dame Educational Association (NDEA) and the Mother of all Notre Dame schools in the country.
  • In 2001, the school established the De Mazenod School of Science and Technology (DMSST), which offered training in and assessment of technical-vocational courses from TESDA.
