Established on April 30, 1976 in Parañaque, Olivarez College (OC), then-called Olivarez School of Nursing, was put up to accommodate the demand for nurses locally and internationally. After raising the Olivarez General Hospital, Dr. Pablo, and the late Dra. Rosario Olivarez began the non-sectarian, private, and stock-profit educational institution in which its graduates would immediately get hired to the hospital. However, as the school expanded its course offerings beyond nursing, it was renamed to Olivarez Junior College. Soon, the institution began offering other grade level curricula which prompted the couple to change to the current name that will reflect their institution.

True to their vision of holistic education, Olivarez College currently offers basic education, college, and graduate studies. The school provides bachelor degree programs in Psychology, Political Science, Mass Communication, Education, Tourism, Computer Science, and Commerce. With its rich history in health-allied courses, the school has courses in Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Physical Therapy, and Midwifery. Meanwhile, their senior high program covers all strands under the Academic, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood, and Sports Tracks.
