The Bachelor of Science in Criminologyis a four-year program that is centered on the study of crime as a social phenomenon and the various agencies of justice as they operate and react to crime, criminals and victims. A graduate of the program is prepared for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection, industrial security and correctional administration and is expected to pass the licensure examination for criminologists, practice criminology as a profession, pursue continuing education in the field of criminal justice, and undertake criminological research.
The curriculum gives emphasis on six (6) major areas including sociology of crimes and ethics, law enforcement administration, crime detection and investigation, criminal law and jurisprudence, criminalistics and correctional administration.
