The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) is a public university in Manila founded in 1965. Known for being the first university to hold an official name in Filipino, PLM prides itself in the fields of Architecture, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Medicine, Public Relations, Civil Engineering producing board passers yearly. The university offers tuition-free tertiary education. It aims to develop upright and socially responsible professionals guided by its mission and vision of social transformation.
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila offers a wide array of degree programs with its thirty-seven (37) courses. Additionally, the institution has two professional schools, namely the College of Law and the College of Medicine. PLM also has twenty-one (21) postgraduate degrees.
Aside from the tertiary programs, the institution is also open to incoming senior high students who are interested in taking up Academic strands such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences), and ABM (Accountancy, Business and Management).
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila continues to maintain its standings on state board rankings. In the past years, the university continued their tradition of excellence in licensure examinations on Engineering, Psychometrician, Physical Therapy, Chemistry, Accountancy, Social Work, Medicine, and Law.
