What does Philippine Women's College of Davao stand for?

Philippine Women’s College of Davao (PWC) is a private educational institution founded in 1953. It is situated in a seven-hectare site in Juna Subdivision, Matina, Davao City. The school is affiliated with the Philippine Women's University and Jose Abad Santos Memorial School based in Manila.

The objective of extending quality education to young women in Mindanao led to the establishment of PWC. At present, the school offers the K-12 basic education program, offering ABM, HUMSS, and STEM from the Academic track. For its tertiary programs, there are bachelor's degree courses in the fields of Education, Hotel and Tourism Management, Business Administration, Fine Arts, Social Science, Food Technology, and Information Technology. Some of these college departments also offer Diploma courses which are ladderized to a Bachelor's degree. Additionally, PWC provides technical-vocational courses in Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, and Housekeeping, all leading to a National Certificate (NC).

For more than 60 years, the Philippine Women’s College of Davao continues to empower its students and develop them into academically-competent and socially-responsible individuals through quality instruction and training. The school actually has welcomed male students. Many of its graduates have thrived in the fields of business, politics, fashion design, and media.

The Philippine Women’s College of Davao is duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Department of Education (DepEd), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). It is also a member of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU).
