What does PNTC Colleges (Manila) stand for?



PNTC Colleges is a private educational institution established in 1994 by Atty. Hernani N. Fabia. Currently, it has campuses in Manila and Dasmarinas, Cavite.

Formerly named as named as Philippine Nautical Training Institute (PNTI), the school was mainly built to provide courses pursuant to the 1978 International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). In 2001, its name officially became the Philippine Nautical and Technological College (PNTC) and by 2004, it was converted into PNTC Colleges.

The college mainly offers Maritime-related courses such as Marine Transportation and Marine Engineering. In addition to these programs, the school also has Business-related programs and a Senior High School (SHS) program featuring Academic and Tech-Voc strands.

PNTC Colleges is duly recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the Department of Education (DepEd), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Furthermore, it is also certified to be in compliance with the standards of ISO:9001:2008.
