Health professionals with superior communication skills and the ability to use the power of media technologies will make significant contributions to improving quality of life, both locally and internationally. In this course you will examine innovative ways to promote healthy lifestyle choices and prevent diet-related disease through mass communication. After introductory studies in human anatomy, health science, and communication, you will complete units that explore health education and behaviour, exercise and sports nutrition, and all facets of media including social platforms, mythbusting, and globalisation. During final year, you will have the opportunity to complete a professional placement in industry or complete a project that will refine your skills in development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
