Republic Central Colleges (RCC) is a private school in
Angeles City, Pampanga. It was founded in 1946 as the
Republic Academy by agriculturist and industrialist, Rafael L. Lazatin, who wanted to address the need for a high school in the area. The following year, the school opened its elementary and college departments; the academy was then known as the
Republic Junior College. Later, more collegiate programs were provided, so the school was renamed to Republic Central Colleges.
RCC currently offers both undergraduate and graduate courses in
Teacher Education, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, and
Hospitality and Tourism Management. The school is also a K-12 institution, with a Senior High School (SHS) department providing the
Academic Track.
Republic Central Colleges and its programs are duly recognized by the Department of Education
(DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education
(CHED). A number of the institution's programs are also accredited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation
(PACUCOA).
