"I am grateful to be part of the Assumption Community. All of my current experiences are a product of this institution's high-quality education and instruction. Assumption College has introduced me to my colleagues, who have always had each other's backs, as well as professors and staff who are always considerate of us."

"Aside from providing an outstanding education, one thing I appreciate about Assumption College is how kind and accommodating they are. As soon as you arrive on campus, you will be greeted with genuine smiles, especially the guards, utilities workers, and the sisters. People are also truly pleasant and honest. I remember I have a horrible habit of leaving my phone and tumbler around, and trust me when I say that someone will undoubtedly return these belongings to the student affairs office. Going to Assumption College is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my entire college life. "

"Everything is just so excellent! Ever since I took the entrance test, I felt the homey feeling at AC. From the very peaceful surroundings up to the welcoming community, I am very happy that I chose AC. Now, being a scholar too, I am blessed to have professors and everyone that is very considerate and kind. AC's passion on forming us is truly inspiring as it is rooted from faith and spirituality, academic excellence for service, and social responsibility. "

BS in Aircraft Maintenance Technology - Batch 2011

"Of all the things I learned in college, one thing is stuck to my head and I think it is the most important lesson I've learned, that being an Aircraft mechanic is no joke, because you are dealing with the safety of the people on board that aircraft.

The most difficult subject for me is Aerodynamics. Up to now, I still don't know the equations related to that subject.

Passing the exams was very difficult for me. Up to now I have not passed the exam for Aircraft Mechanics. I am still reviewing my notes before taking the exam again.

A BS AMT student should have the determination and the drive to finish the course because this is the stage when you have many distractions such as gimik, drinking, smoking, etc."

Westfield Science Oriented School and Colleges

STEM and ABM - Batch 2019

Overall

Rating:

3.0

"I recommend this school with a pound of salt. While its Math and Science curricula had improved during my stay there, an appreciation for these subjects are set aside for the sake of prioritizing high scores in assessments. The high school's care for the welfare of its student and its staff (both faculty and maintenance) leaves much to be desired. Some points of improvement for the school include: - Establishing & maintaining more extracurricular activities for the personal and skills development of students (i.e. in the Arts, Sports, and other fields) beyond the academe - Really, more opportunities for students to be involved in leadership positions with their fellow batchmates - Better treatment of students' emotional health - A more balanced syllabus for its Values Education (From what I could recall, the book and my teacher vilified sensitive topics like abortion and same-sex marriage) - A more personable and transparent guidance & counseling office that will better deal with urgent issues like bullying and academic burnout - Regularization (or at least better benefits) for its maintenance and security staff - More kindness and consideration for students whose parents have difficulty paying their tuition fees on time"

Why did I choose this school?

A very promising full-ride scholarship from JHS to SHS on the condition of maintaining a certain grade average and participating in various inter-school competitions.

About the School

Westfield joins many science- and math-aligned competitions within Metro Manila. I enjoyed the opportunities to be academically challenged outside the confines of a classroom. The infrastructural decisions were very questionable. Things like removing the main doors to most (if not all) of the restrooms made it difficult for girls to get dressed in privacy. Their gym area is not very conducive to most sports or interclass events. Above the gym area were the "senior high school classrooms," but the stairs were a challenge to climb every day. I feel that more time and consideration could have been put into these plans. This might like a joke, but I'm serious when I think this school gave me depression. The local area is nice. There are some nearby food stalls & restaurants if you're looking for a snack after dismissal, and there was a school supplies store just two minutes away.

FEU Alabang

Overall

"I highly recommend this university :)"

Why did I choose this school?

I chose FEU Alabang because it has everything I am looking for in a university. Nothing compares to going to school in the morning surrounded by trees and fresh air before entering the campus full of friendly staff and schoolmates. Not to mention it is also close to Festival Mall where a variety of restaurants, school supplies, and hang out places are available. Being one of the 2nd batch of students from this university (FEU Alabang was founded in 2018), seeing the campus grow each year with amazing students makes me believe that FEU Alabang will be one of the most successful universities in the country. #ProudTamarawOfTheSouth

About the School

Just like any other freshman, I was scared of the thought of knowing no one in my first year but everyone on the campus made it so easy for me to surround myself with amazing and inspiring people and to make friends. The professors made sure we achieve mastery in our subjects and there are school organizations wherein we can join to further enhance our skills and gain connections. FEU Alabang not only supports our growth but also instills the recognizable Tamaraw pride in our future careers.

De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB)

Bachelor of Arts major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs - Batch 2018

Overall

Rating:

5.0

"As I have written in my yearbook, Benilde made me expand my comprehension towards national and international issues as well as the initiatives and solutions I can do as a prevalent CDA student and as someone who is eager to make a social impact. "

Why did I choose this school?

I had an extensive research on what degree I wanted to pursue when I was still in high school and I found both of my passion in this school since they offer non-traditional courses and that is what I was exactly looking for. They offered Music Production and Consular and Diplomatic Affairs, two choices I wanted to pursue.

About the School

DLS-CSB is a great place for learning, no doubt, and it is a safe haven for talented and impaired students to express their creativity and their innovativeness. Professors mostly teach according to the syllabus given and they often share their tips on moving forward with the role to be ambassadors and their amazing experiences being one. I was personally astounded and was motivated more on my ambassador professors when they share their experiences. I spent most of my school days in the Main building of De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. Once you're inside, you'll need to get used to the color cream white and green scenery. It is air-conditioned per room and the school provides computers installed with necessary programs, etc. for students to use and a large variety to do in the libraries. The library is one of my favorite places to visit before and after class. Sometimes I'd still visit or stay there even if I don't have class the whole day just to check out the books and the use the computer to research on a subject I was currently on. The library contains a lot of international law books, magazines, and even books you can read on your free time. What I have observed is that people like to spend their time in the libraries as they progress with their courses and a lot of students appreciate we can even watch free movies on our free time in the respective computer area which is specifically just for watching movies inside the library. My friends and I mostly hangout around the school, trying out different kinds of accessible cafes, bars, lounges and restos. We would set up our laptops and work at those places as well. Staying inside an empty classroom is another option. Other times, I would stay in one of my favorite places in the main building, the gym. I was an arnis varsity so I have spent a lot of time staying there and sometimes just to chill there when I needed to pass time. I would have my coach and life mentor to talk to me about everything under the sun. All in all, my stay in Benilde was a wild and refreshing experience. I wouldn't have it any other way.
