Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) is a private institution located in southern Kyushu, Japan. The university was founded in 2000. Today, Ritsumeikan Pacific University is known for its programs in MBA and Physics. APU ranks 27th in Times Higher Education's Japan University Rankings for 2019.
APU offers undergraduate programs in Asia Pacific Studies and International Management, while also requiring Japanese language education for all students—helping them master their foreign language skills by the time of their graduation. This makes APU attractive for various companies in and out of Japan, having a 97% job-placement rate before graduation.
Currently, APU is home to more than 5,000 students, of which more than 50% are international students hailing from 90 different countries and regions.
