Saint Louis University (SLU) was established in 1911 and is one of the largest universities north of Manila with more than 30 000 combined students from elementary, high school, and college.
SLU has four campuses, all located in Baguio City. The main campus in Bonifacio Street, houses the Schools of Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering and Architecture, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Natural Sciences and Nursing and the SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart. The Saint Aloysius de Gonzaga Campus in General Luna Road houses the SLU Laboratory Elementary School. The Navy Base Campus in Claro M Recto Street, Navy Road houses the School of Teacher Education and SLU Laboratory High School. Lastly, the Maryheights Campus in Bakakeng houses the School of Accountancy and Business Management.
SLU has proven that it is one of the top educational institutions in the Philippines through the accreditations and recognitions from various organizations in the country. It is accredited by the Philippine Accrediting Association on Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU). It has been granted Full Autonomy Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd). It is also recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as a top performing school in various licensure examinations.
