Saint Louis University (SLU) is a private educational institution founded in 1911 by Rev. Fr. Séraphin Devesse, CICM as the one-room elementary school, Saint Louis School. SLU has since expanded its programs, establishing college courses such as Education, Commerce, and Liberal Arts among others. The school received its university status in 1963.

Today, the SLU is one of the largest universities in Baguio. Aside from its elementary, junior, and senior high school department, it also offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs with schools in Accountancy and Business Management, Computing and Information Services, Engineering and Architecture, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Nursing and Teacher Education, Law, and Medicine. 

Throughout its history, Saint Louis University has been consistent in meeting the standards in tertiary education. SLU received its Full Autonomy Status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) allowing the university to develop courses without prior approval from CHEd. It is also designated as a Zonal Research Center for Region 1 and CAR.

Guided by its vision of being an excellent and transformative institution, SLU continues to expand its networks through its different international organizations like the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL), dedicated to assisting member institutions in strengthening themselves through mutual self help and achieving international distinction in teaching, research and public service.
