School Overview

Want to update information about this school? Click here.
Saint Pedro Poveda College (SPPC) is a private, Catholic educational institution exclusively for girls. The school is located in Quezon City and is managed by the Teresian Association of Lay Missionaries. Commonly called as Poveda, the institution’s Ortigas campus is currently the only school in the Philippines that is run by the religious organization.

Established in 1960, the school was first called as Institución Teresiana. During that time, it was only offering Kindergarten and Primary programs. By 1969, the said institution started providing preschool, elementary and high school education.

In 1974, the school’s name was changed into Poveda Learning Center as a tribute to St. Pedro Poveda, the founder of the Teresian Association. The saint’s birth centennial was also celebrated that same year.
