Siena College of Taytay (SCT), formerly known as St. Catherine Academy, is a private Catholic school in Barangay San Isidro, Taytay, Rizal. It was founded in 1957 by the Dominican Sisters and has sister schools in
Quezon City and
San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. In 1965, the school fully established its Kindergarten, Elementary, and High School levels. By 1982, the college department opened, accepting students who would like to study courses in Business Administration, Computer Education, Secondary Education, and Secretarial Administration, as well as two-year programs and short courses. At the same time, the school earned its college status and was renamed Siena College of Taytay.
SCT believes in a philosophy of life that is founded in the Catholic vision of man and inspired by the Dominican ideas. It upholds a definite set of TRUTH. As Christian faith communities in progress participate in the church’s salvific mission through a Gospel-centered; education. Siena College serves the Filipino education system in the Philippine setting. It seeks to establish, maintain and support a complete, adequate, and integrated system of education relevant to the needs of a Filipino.
