Sorsogon State University - Magallanes (SSU - Magallanes) is one of the three satellite campuses operating under the
Sorsogon State University system. The campus is formerly known as the Magallanes School of Fisheries, specializing in fisheries and aquatic sciences, before it was converted into a branch campus of the university system by the enacment of
Republic Act 7666.
Despite the integration, the campus retained its program in
Fisheries and is now offered as a bachelor's degree. Along with this program are bachelor's degrees in
Elementary and Secondary Education (with major in
Sciences)
.
And being part of the state university system, the Bulan campus follows the
'zero tuition fee' system. With this, students will only be required to pay their miscellaneous fees upon enrollment, as their tuition fees are already subsidized by the government.
