The  program  provides  a  higher  level  of  midwifery  competencies  including  the  management of normal pregnancies/deliveries, postpartum period and the care of OB emergencies.  The program also includes topics in the care of infants and children, midwifery pharmacology, reproductive health and the administration and supervision of the health care facility.

Moreover, it offers a thorough training in providing primary health  care  services  as  well  as  assisting normal or high-risk pregnant women in both the private and community settings.
