St. Anthony's College (SAC) is a private, Catholic school in
San Jose, Antique. It was founded by the
Mill Hill Missionaries (MHM) in 1957 to strengthen and to advocate for an education system based on the Catholic faith. Back then, the college
used to be the only Catholic educational institution offering higher education in Antique. About three decades later, the elementary and high school departments of
San Jose Academy was incorporated into St. Anthony's College. The administrators wanted to form service-oriented young Christians who are able to go beyond their economic status in life, for the San Jose Academy is mostly composed of elites as opposed to those in SAC, thus the incorporation.
At present, SAC provides basic and higher education programs. Its basic education department includes a Senior High School (SHS) program; the
ABM, HUMSS, GAS, and
STEM strands are available for interested SHS students. The college currently offers degree programs in
Maritime Education, Liberal Arts, Teacher Education, Business, Accountancy, Hospitality Management, Nursing, Engineering, and
Information Technology. SAC also has
TESDA-registered programs for those who wish to train in certain skills and earn their National Certificate (NC).
