St. Bridget College (SBC) is a private, Catholic school in
Batangas City. The school started in 1913 as the St. Bridget's Academy, founded by Irish sisters as an exclusive school for girls. The academy was established as part of the mission of the Diocese of Lipa to strengthen the Catholic faith in young students. After years of offering only grade school and high school programs, St. Bridget's Academy opened associate and bachelor's degree courses in 1946 and officially became a college. In 1980, the school became co-educational.
At present, St. Bridget College is a K-12-recognized institution. Its Senior High School (SHS) department provides the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks for interested enrollees. For college students, SBC has degree courses in
Teacher Education, Business, Social Work, and
Information Technology. Additionally, the school has available
short courses and certifications in the areas of Teacher Education, Social Work, Hotel and Restuarant Management, and Computer Secretarial.
