The English Language Center (E-LaCe) aims to address the different personal and academic language needs, purposes, and pursuits of both foreign and Filipino students and professionals who desire to improve their linguistic and academic skills in the English language in order to cope with the changing demands of a changing world. The different E-LaCe programs utilize lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities as teaching and learning strategies to develop fluency and accuracy in listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.  Practice activities include classwork, online exercises, out-of-class activities, social encounters, and cultural immersion to ensure maximum exposure to and application of the language and its uses in a variety of situations.

Basic English Program

Designed for beginning-level students, the course focuses on grammar acquisition, vocabulary building, and listening comprehension while engaging learners in introductory-level conversations.
