  • PRE-SCHOOL

    Requirements
    Once the Admissions Office accepts the requirements, these will no longer be returned to the applicant.

     
    International Students and Dual Citizens
    • PASSPORT, particularly the bio-page and stamps of latest departure and arrival in the country and current VISA Page of both parents and student.
    • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) I-Card ISSUED BY THE Bureau of Immigration
    • Documents for the issuance of Special Study Permit (SSP).

    Procedures
    1. Secure Application Permit from the Admissions Office. Pay the non-refundable and non-transferable Application and Testing Fee of Php 500.00 to the Business Office.
    2. Present receipt and secure the Application Kit (Application Form, Recommendation (1/2) and Student Health Record Forms) from the Admissions Office.
    3. Submit accomplished forms and requirements.
    4. FOR KINDER APPLICANTS: secure TEST PERMIT. FOR PRE-KINDER: get the SCHEDULE OF INTERVIEW FORM. The schedule of entrance test for Kinder and interview for Pre-kinder will depend on the earliest testing date available upon the submission of requirements.
    5. FOR KINDER APPLICANTS:  Take the entrance exam on scheduled date. FOR PRE-KINDER APPLICANTS:  Come for the interview on given date The Admissions Office shall take care of the scheduling of the applicants and will follow the “first-come-first-served basis” policy.
     
    International Students anf Foreign Citizens
    1. Make sure that academic records (report cards/transcript of records) were authenticated by the Office of the Philippine Embassy / Office of the Consular Official in the country which has jurisdiction over the issuing school. Note: If the applicant is already in the Philippines and was not able to have the documents authenticated by the Philippine Embassy of the issuing school or country of origin, applicant can go to the Department of Foreign Affairs in the Philippines to have the said documents validated.
    2. All documents must be with English translation of the entries particularly the NAME of the student, SUBJECTS TAKEN (with descriptions), GRADES (narrative).
    3. Bring the authenticated academic records to the Department of Education and request for evaluation of documents for proper grade placement (Certificate of Evaluation).
    4. Submit the original copy of the Certificate of Evaluation to the Admissions Office together with clear photocopy of the requirements (bring the original copy for verification purposes):Foreign students are required to pay the APPLICATION and TESTING FEE US$20.00 as well as the one-time Foreign Students Fee of US$500.00 upon enrollment.

    6. If with DUAL CITIZENSHIP: submit a photocopy of Philippine Passport and a Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino Citizen.

  • JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

    Requirements
    NOTE: Once the Admissions Office accepts the requirements, these will no longer be returned to the applicant.

    • Accomplished APPLICATION FORM with 2×2 ID picture (APPLICATION FORM FOR GRADES 7-12 ADMISSION)
    • ORIGINAL Birth Certificate by the Philippine Statistics Authority (formerly National Statistics Office-NSO)
    • Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (original copy has to be presented)
    • Certificate of Enrollment
    • Certified TRUE COPY of the following REPORT CARD:
      • Previous Grade Level and
      • Current Grade Level – latest grading period
    • THREE (3) SSC Recommendation Form (Principal, Adviser and Guidance Counselor), enclosed in a sealed long, white mailing envelop with the evaluator’s signature across the flap. 
    • Accomplished Student Health Record Form
    • One (1) piece 2×2 recent ID picture for Test Permit (identical with that in the application form) 

    Additional requirements for Senior High School
    • Applicants from public schools and Night Secondary School need to present their school ID in order for their application and testing fee to be waived.
    • MALE APPLICANTS are welcome to join the LEADERSHIP ACADEMY in VISUAL AND ARTS TRACKS: Fine Arts and Music Strands.
    • For MUSIC TRACK Applicants: one has to secure a schedule for audition at the Music Department. If the applicant passes the audition, the applicant has to go back to the Admissions Office to get the TEST PERMIT.

    International Students and Dual Citizens

  • GRADUATE SCHOOL

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited/reputable institution of higher learning preferably with a major in the graduate area for which the applicant is applying. Undergraduate Grade Point Average (GPAs) or Cumulative Quality Point Averages (CQPAs) required by the respective graduate areas must be complied with prior to admission to the graduate program.
    • Applicants must pass the graduate school battery of tests which covers intelligence, aptitude and personality.  
    • Non-English speaking applicant must pass the English Placement Test to enter the graduate program or provide scores of at least 500 on a TOEFL test taken within the previous two (2) years. Students must have their official TOEFL scores sent directly to SSC’s Admissions Office prior to their registration at SSC.  In the event that an applicant has not taken the TOEFL test, enrollment in the prescribed English classes is required upon registration for the first and all subsequent terms at SSC, until such time as the proficiency in English has been judged to be sufficient.
    • Preferably applicants must have had at least two (2) years of work experience in the course/program applied for.
    • Other requirements
      •  Accomplished Application Form with 2x2 ID picture pasted on the upper right hand of the form; Application Form for Graduate School
      • One (1) additional 2x2 ID picture
      • Accomplished two (2) SSC Recommendation Forms (one each from the applicant’s former School Administrators, Professor, Guidance Counselor, and the most recent employer or the last employer for those who have stopped working prior to program application); Recommendation Form for Graduate School
      • One (1) certified true copy of the applicant’s Transcript of Records (TOR)
    • For TRANSFEREES only:
      • complete records of grades received from graduate school previously enrolled in certified by the Registrar
      • transfer credentials
      • certification of the previous school’s grading system from the Graduate School Dean or Registrar
    • For FOREIGN Applicants only: Study Permit and Alien Certificate of Residence (ACR)

    Procedures
    1. Secure Application Permit from the Admissions Office and proceed to the Business Office for payment of the application and testing fee set by the school.
    2. Present receipt to the Admissions Office and secure an Application Form and two (2) copies of  SSC Recommendation Forms.
    3. Submit requirements
    4. Secure examination permit from the Admissions Office.
    5. Take the entrance examination on the scheduled date given. Latecomers will not be allowed to take the examination and instead will be rescheduled.

    Grade Maintenance/Retention Requirements
    St. Scholastica’s College’s Graduate School expects all its students to meet its academic requirements to stay in their selected program of study. Thus, applicants are expected to meet the following:
    1. A minimum grade of 3.0 in all subjects or compliance with the program maintenance requirements
    2. Interview by a panel of faculty members for those experiencing difficulties in meeting the program’s academic requirements.  Students having academic difficulties may be retained/ delisted upon the recommendation of the panel. Students may be put on academic probation for a semester. Continued failure to comply with the academic requirements set by the Graduate School will mean automatic removal from the program
    3. Students are discouraged from dropping/withdrawing a course to avoid delay in completing their program of study.

    Behavioral
    The Psychology and Guidance and Counseling Department reserves the right to decide on the retention of students manifesting attitudes and behaviors considered to be inimical to their performance as future counselors and psychologists.  Such students may be delisted /retained upon the recommendation of a panel of counselors/psychologists.

  • UNDERGRADUATE/BACHELOR'S DEGREE PROGRAMS

    Requirements

    • FOR MARRIED STUDENTS: Photocopy of Marriage Contract
    • Certified True Copy of the following Report Card:
      • Previous Grade Level and
      • Current Grade Level – latest grading period
    • Certificate of the School’s GRADING SYSTEM (especially for those with Letter Grades) from the Principal or the Registrar and DESCRIPTION OF SUBJECTS taken.
    • Two (2) SSC Recommendation Forms for College Applicants from Principal or Dean, Class Adviser, Teacher or Counselor (enclosed in sealed envelopes with a signature across the flap) COLLEGE RECOMMENDATION FORM
    • STUDENT HEALTH FORM
    • One (1) piece 2x2 recent ID picture for Test Permit (identical with that in the application form)

    Transferees
    • Application for College Admission
    • National Statistics Office (NSO) Birth Certificate (original and recent)
    • Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (original copy has to be presented)
    • FOR MARRIED STUDENTS: Photocopy of Marriage Contract
    • Certified True Copy of Grades/Records of Collegiate Grades certified by the school Registrar  and/or recent copy of  unofficial TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS

    International Students and Dual Citizens
    • Passport, particularly the bio-page and stamps of latest departure and arrival in the country.
    • Student Visa or other latest Visa (accepted for study) and I-Card (must still be valid at least two months into the semester of first enrollment).
    • Transcript of Records (authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post from the country of origin).
    • Current Report Card with English translation.
    • Course description of all subjects taken.
    • Certificate from the Department of Education for an applicant to qualify for the applied level.
    • Certificate of Recognition as a Filipino if with DUAL CITIZENSHIP.
    • Two (2) SSC Recommendation Forms for College Applicants from Principal or Dean, Class Adviser, Teacher or Guidance Counselor (enclosed in sealed envelopes with signature across the flap)

    2. Present receipt and secure the Application Kit (Application Form, (2) Recommendation, and Student Health Record Forms) from the Admissions Office.
    3. Submit requirements (Note: Once the Admissions Office accepts these requirements, these will no longer be returned to the applicant.) For Music Applicants: one has to secure a schedule for an audition at the Music Department. If the applicant passes the audition, the applicant has to go back to the Admissions Office to get the examination (written) permit.
    4. Secure Exam Permit.
    5. Take the entrance exam on scheduled date given.
    6. Come for an interview on the scheduled time given by the Admissions Office.
