Systems Technology Institute (STI) College was founded in 1983 by entrepreneurs, Augusto C. Lagman, Herman T. Gamboa, Benjamin A. Santos, and Edgar H. Sarte, who wanted to provide programming training for Filipinos. The college emphasizes "job-ready" students; and, it had a Guaranteed Hire Program (GHP) through which graduates can be hired by any of the founders or by contact companies of the school. STI College had two branches in its first year but now has grown to have more than 100 campuses nationwide.
STI College Tanay offers bachelor degree programs in Information Technology, Communication, Business Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Management. It also has a Senior High School department with the Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. The Tanay branch also provides technical-vocational courses in Food & Beverage Services, Front Office Services, and Housekeeping.
STI College Tanay and its programs are accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd), the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
