Part of the
Surigao del Sur State University system,
the
Surigao del Sur State University - Lianga (SDSSU - Lianga) is the university's
center of specialization in Fisheries and Marine Sciences. The campus is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as the
National University/College of Fisheries (NUFAC) in
CARAGA Region. And also, the campus is also part of the
National Agriculture/Fisheries Education System (NAFES) project and holds a budget of P1M every year in a span of 5 years.
SDSSU - Lianga has five (5)
Level II Accredited programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP):
BS Fisheries, BS Marine Biology, BS Elementary Education, and BS Secondary Education with majors in
Sciences, and
Technology and Livelihood Education. While their
BS in Business Administration with majors in
Financial Management, and
Business Economics hold
Level I Accreditation.
