Become a qualified carpenter by completing this qualification as part of your apprenticeship. With construction one of the three largest industries in Australia, demand for qualified carpenters is high. Up to 50,000 job openings are expected over the next five years.
In this course, you'll learn how to construct, install, finish and repair structures and fixtures for residential, commercial and industrial developments. You will work with a range of tools, equipment and materials to construct frames for walls and ceilings, construct pitched and advanced roofs and eaves, and erect and dismantle formwork for footings and slabs on the ground.
