Technological Institute of the Philippines - Manila

Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) - Manila is a private educational institution in Manila established in 1962 by a group of educators headed by Engineer Demetrio A. Quirino Jr and Dr. Teresita U. Quirino as a private non-sectarian stock school. TIP’s objectives were based on the vision of its founders. They wanted to maintain a high standard of instruction, to bring within the reach of the masses the blessings of higher education, and to cooperate with the government in the implementation of its economic and social amelioration programs.

TIP Manila offers undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, business, maritime education, information technology, arts, and mathematics. They also offer graduate studies in engineering and IT. In 2013, TIP Manila’s engineering programs gained accreditation from the US-based ABET, the global gold standard in engineering and computing education accreditation.

Through the years, TIP Manila acquired ownership of two major sites totaling 2.3 hectares namely, the P. Casal and the Arlegui properties. The P. Casal Campus has three main buildings, one of which is a
six-storey building. The Arlegui Campus, on the other hand, also has a six-storey building.
