Through practical and analytical engagement, students will gain both advanced skills and in-depth understanding relevant to a broad range of communications and media roles and proficiency in developing effective communication strategies and managing communications projects in the global media context. Work placements provide access to real-world experience of the local and international communications environment. The course has a number of options for completion depending on individual requirements. It can be completed in one calendar year, which includes two normal semesters and a special summer semester, or in 1.5 years studying normal university semesters. There is also a longer course that takes two years and includes options for further elective units or a dissertation.
