University of Mindanao Tagum College, or more commonly known as
UM Tagum College, is a private, non-sectarian institution along
Mabini Street in the city of Tagum. The UM Tagum College was founded as the
Tagum Academy in 1950 and is one of the many campuses of the
University of Mindanao System. It initially provided high school programs until nine years later when it started offering a two-year collegiate program in Commerce. In 1986, it had its first four-year program offering in Education. More vocational courses and other collegiate courses came about as the school grew older and as it catered more students.
At present, UM Tagum College offers undergraduate courses in
Accountancy, Business Administration, Hotel and Tourism Management, Criminology, Engineering, Teacher Education, Liberal Arts, and
Information Technology. It also has a
Graduate School department with available courses in Education, Business Administration, Management, and Public Administration. For Senior High School students, the college provides selected strands from the
Academic Track.
