University of Helsinki is a public university located in Helsinki, Finland. The university's origin can be traced back to 1640 with the establishment of the Royal Academy of Åbo, making it the oldest university in Finland. The University of Helsinki is also the largest university in the country.

The university offers a wide range of programs with its 11 faculties and 11 research institutes. Its campuses are functional yet inspiring and offer diverse study and learning environments. Students can study in historical buildings from the 19th century, in versatile classrooms onsite or remotely, or in state-of-the-art laboratories. There are also modern libraries on all four campuses, the latest being the award-winning City Centre Campus Library (Kaisa). Alternatively, students can immerse in discussions with fellow students and faculty members in student cafes or restaurants, virtual spaces or buzzing meeting places specially designed for co-creation. The university also has Career Services facilities aimed at supporting students at the start of their studies until one year after they graduate.
