What does University of La Salette stand for?


University of La Salette (ULS) is a private university established in June 1951 by the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette in Isabela, Cagayan Valley. Started as a secondary school, the ULS began offering certificate courses in Secretarial Science and Associate Arts.

ULS opened more degree programs including Business Technology Education, Elementary Education, Religious Education, Secondary Education, Special Education, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Economics, Accountancy, Public Administration, Political Science, Criminology, Psychology, Civil Engineering, Journalism, Information Technology, and many more.

In addition, the University of La Salette also caters to master’s programs in Education (Major in Educational Management, Guidance and Counseling, Religious Education, Science Education), Nursing (Major in Nursing Service Administration, Community Health, Maternal and Child Health, Medical and Surgical Nursing), Business Management, Criminology, Information Technology, among others. Its doctorate programs are comprised of Education (Major in English, Filipino, Science), Educational Management, Business Administration, and Public Administration.

ULS also offers Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) programs: Hardware Servicing NC II and Computer Programming NC IV.

The university believes in the importance of extending quality education for the purpose of transforming lives, making it accessible especially to the poor. It aims to holistically develop its students in order to instill in them how their actions can bring change to society. Furthermore, ULS hopes that their graduates embody the value of a true Christian leader, one who is knowledgeable and compassionate at the same time. It also prides itself on a Level II status in its Liberal Arts, Sciences, Business, and Education departments from Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU)
