The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management is a four-year degree program that prepares students on the overall management of hotel, restaurant, and resort operations. This program at USC is ladderized, where students can earn a total of seven National Certifications (NC) after being assessed for competencies. In addition to courses in hotel and restaurant management, there are also foreign language classes, with choices among Mandarin, French, Spanish, and Japanese. Through the university's own The Carolinian Inn, students can be trained and exposed to the hospitality industry. They also have the opportunity to train and work with several accredited host establishments locally and abroad.
A graduate of this program can work as a Commis, as a Restaurant Supervisor, as a Catering Manager, or as a Resort Operations Manager.
