The Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering is a field that deals with surveying and mapping work, with analyzing data, and with producing maps, charts, graphics, statistics and models related to the earth's surface. It develops a student's skills in executing control surveys, mineral, hydrographic, and topographic surveys, photogrammetric surveys, gravimetric surveys, and astronomical observations.

BS in Geodetic Engineering can be taken for at least four to five years in college depending on the term system implemented by the university. In addition to completing a degree program, Geodetic Engineering Licensure Exam is usually taken and advised for professionals in the field.
