GRADE 11
Qualification
  • The applicant must be in Grade 10 at the time of application from any DepEd accredited public and private schools.
  • The applicant must have an average grade of 80 in Grade 9 with no failing grades and have good deportment records.
  • Applicants for STEM Strand must have an average of 85 and Stanine 5 in the entrance exam.

Grade 10 students of UAJHS
  • Duly accomplished application form
  • National Career Assessment Examination Result (photocopy)
  • Two (2) pieces of recent 2x2 close up photo.
  • For Grade10 students from non-UAJHS (public and private)
  • All the above plus the following
  • Recommendation Form signed by the principal or guidance counselor of the junior high school of the applicant which may be secured from the UA Guidance and Admissions Office or click here to download
  • Grade 9 Report Card (photocopy)

Procedures
  1. Secure an Application Form from the UA Guidance and Admissions Office or the UAJHS Guidance Office or click here to download.
  2. Submit the duly accomplished Application Form, together with the requirements mentioned above to the UA Guidance and Admissions Office.

For Non-UAJHS Students Only:
  1. Secure schedule for UASHS Entrance Test
  2. Take the UASHS Entrance Test as scheduled
  3. Wait for the results of the test and your Permit to Enrol
  4. Pay the reservation fee. UAJHS Grade 10 completers and applicants from other schools who passed the Entrance Test may lose their slots to the waitlisted if they fail to pay the reservation fee on time.
  5. Keep your Permit to Enrol and Official Receipt for the reservation fee.
  6. Proceed to Enrollment

General Requirements
  • Certificate of Junior High School (JHS) Completion (photocopy)
  • Grade 10 Report Card with Learner Reference Number (Form 138)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character issued by the JHS Principal or Guidance Counselor
  • NSO certified birth certificate (photocopy)
  • Permit to Enrol/Official Receipt of Reservation Fee
  • Other specific requirements:
  • For Grade 10 completers from PHS: Original copy of Form 137
  • For ESC Grantees: ESC Certification Letter
  • For PEAC qualified voucher applicants: Qualified Voucher Recipient (QVR) Certificate
  • For ASF Grantees: Letter of Confirmation of Acceptance from the DSA
  • For Academic Scholars: Certificate of Academic Excellence specifying the honor received

GRADUATE SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Requirements
  • As a general rule, only the applicants with the required educational attainment will be admitted to the University of the Assumption Graduate School. Their academic achievement as a baccalaureate degree/ master’s degree graduate implies their developed ability and readiness for advanced study and independent learning.
  • Applicants for admission to the different programs of the UA Graduate School must comply with the specified requirements.
Transferees
  • Graduate subjects taken from other schools may be credited provided that such courses have equivalent courses at the University of the Assumption.  The Dean of the Graduate School or the Chair (for the MATS program) evaluates and approves the courses for credit. Credits are verified at the Registrar’s Office.
  • Only for a maximum of one third (1/3) of the total number of academic units (excluding thesis/ dissertation) required for a degree can be accepted as transfer credentials.  However, the UA Graduate School may extend the limit in exceptionally meritorious cases.
Returnees
A student who resumes studies after three (3) years or more shall be required to take at least three (3) refresher courses (equivalent to 9 units).
Foreign Students
  • Foreign students may be admitted as enrollees in a degree program of the Graduate School upon submission of the permit to enroll from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) upon compliance with the immigration rules.
  • Foreign Students whose native language is not English and/or whose undergraduate medium of instruction was in a language other than English are required for admission to enroll in a special class in Englis
  • Steps one to four in this section shall also apply to foreign student applicants.
Admission Procedure
  1. Consult the Office of the Graduate School for admission requirements.
  2. Secure and fill-out the application form. Submit the accomplished form with the Official Transcript of Records (one original and one photocopy) with CHED Special Order of graduation – a BS/ AB transcript for the MAED, MBA or MPA, a MAED transcript for the doctoral program.
Important:
  • Applicants for master’s studies with at least a general average of 85% or 2.0 in the undergraduate program will be admitted on a regular basis.  Those with lower average may be admitted on probation.
  • Students who apply for admission to the doctorate program must present a transcript of records of a corresponding Master’s degree with an average of 90% or 1.5.
  • A Filipino student who graduated from schools outside the Philippines has to present his/her credentials to the Registrar’s Office.  A copy of the same shall be submitted to the Dean of the Graduate School Office.
  1. Other important documents for submission:
  • completed student information sheet
  • marriage contract (for married applicants)
  • three (3) pieces 2x2 ID pictures, and two (2) pieces 1x1 ID pictures (most recent copy)
  • transfer credentials (certified true copy of grades and honorable dismissal certificate), if the applicant is a transferee.
  • Check the interview schedule with the secretary/ staff of the Graduate School.

  • The result of the Aptitude Test administered by GAO.
  • 1 copy of 2x2 picture with white background
  • Scholarship Application Form, if applicable

  1. Register for UACET (for non-UASHS graduates)
  2. Secure UACET Form from the Guidance and Admissions Office.
  3. Fill out the UACET Form
  4. Pay the Admission and Testing Fee at the Treasury Office
  5. Secure UACET Permit from GAO
  6. Secure Admission Kit
  7. Secure Admission Kit from the Guidance and Admissions Office.
  8. Fill out and Submit the Application Form
  9. Fill out the application form.
  10. Submit the completed application form, together with all the requirements, to the Guidance and Admissions Office on or before the date of your exam specified in the UACET Permit.
  11. Note: Forms which are not properly filled out and with incomplete requirements will not be processed
  12. Take the UACET
  13. The UACET is the admission examinations given to those who are applying for College in UA.
  14. View UACET Results
  15. View the UACET Results on admissions.ua.edu.ph. The list will also be posted on bulletin boards near the Guidance and Admissions Office.
  16. Pay the Reservation Fee
  17. Reserve your slot by paying the Reservation Fee in the UA Treasury Office on the 2nd floor of the Ryan Building.

University of the Assumption (UA) is a private Archdiocesan Catholic institution on January 12, 1963 by Bishop Emilio Cinense, DD and Msgr. Pedro Puno. It is the first Catholic Archdiocesan university in the Philippines and in Asia.
