  • College of Dentistry (Filipino and Resident Foreign Students)

    Requirements

    • Completion of 2-year Pre-Dentistry or its equivalent
    • Original and 4 photocopies of Transcript of Records
    • Original and 4 photocopies of Certificate of Eligibility for Admission to the Dental Course (CEADC) issued by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
    • Original and 4 photocopies of Birth Certificate
    • Two letters of recommendation: one from the Headmaster of the school and another from a former teacher or faculty
    • Report of College Entrance Test (CET) result
    • Any other documents/requirements the university may prescribe
    Resident Foreign Students
    In addition to all of the above, applicants must have an updated Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or Special Study Permit (SSP) issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

    Guidelines
    1. Applicants with General Weighted Average of "2.50" or better on the basis of four (4) semesters will be considered
    2. Applicants with Pre-Dental deficiencies and/or incomplete credentials will not be accepted.
    3. Applicants to the U.E. Dental Program with general weighted average of 1.75 or better based on the first three semesters of Pre-Dental Course taken at the U.E. College of Arts and Sciences may be exempted from taking the College Entrance Test.
    4. Applicants who are degree holders in Health and Allied profession and certified by the academic committee are eligible for admission.
    5. Transferee Students with GWA of "2.00" and with no Grade Lower than "2.50" in any discipline may apply subject to further deliberations of the Academic Committee

  • Bachelor of Business Management Special Degree Program

    Qualifications

    1. Candidates must be business executives who are occupying senior position and who have at least started college studies. Senior position in management refers to at least the head of the department in a big business firm or a general manager or an entrepreneur in a small business establishment.
    2. Candidates from the Armed Forces must have a minimum rank of Captain.
    3. Candidates from a government agency should occupy at least division head level.
    4. All candidates should have at least started college studies and should be at least 25 years old.
    Requirements
    1. Transfer credential/ honorable dismissal from the last school attended
    2. Certification of position held;
    3. Certification of number of years services
    4. Capital of company is 50,000 and above or number of personnel is not less than five
    5. Original Transcript of Records or Certification of the subject and the corresponding grades obtained and issued by the registrar of the school last attended
    6. Certification of units earned signed by the registrar of the last school attended
    7. Affidavit that candidate has not earned any college degree
    8. For government and Armed Forces, present a, b, d, e, and f, only
    9. Any other document/ requirements that the University may prescribe
    Additional Requirements
    Resident Foreign Students
    1. An updated Alien-Certificate of Registration (ACR) [original and photocopies] issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID).
    Non-Resident Foreign Students
    Government Requirements
    The following document should be duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Services Establishment (PFSE) located in the applicant�s country of origin or residence:
    • Scholastic records, i.e., transcript of records or marked of subjects taken and their corresponding grades
    • Documentary proof of support to cover expenses incidental to their studies, such as board and lodging as well as air tickets.
    • Police Clearance Certificate
    • Medical Health Certificate together with the standard size chest X-ray
    University Requirements
    • Letter of intent to enroll in UE
    • Personal History Statement
    • Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Services Post (PSFP) located in the applicants country of origin or residence
    • Letter of recommendation (one from the Headmaster of the school and another from a former teacher or professors)
    • Updated alien Certification of Registration (ACR) or special Studies Permit (SSP) issued by the Bureau of Immigration (BID)
    • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). In the absence of TOEFL, the student shall be required to enroll in the UE special English Class
    • Ten (10) copies 2"x2" photos
    • Any other document/requirement that the university may prescribe

  • College of Law (Transfer Students)

    The Dean has the sole prerogative to accept transferees on a case to case basis, provided that the applicants were not expelled elsewhere and they meet the academic requirements. All accepted transferees from SBC, ATENEO, UP and UST will be on probation and will have to repeat all major subjects with grades of three (3) or below. Those with more than 5 failing marks, (3W or 75W are considered failing marks) will have to repeat all subjects, that is, they will have to start as incoming freshmen. Transferees from other accredited law schools may only be admitted if they have no failing marks.

    Pre-admission Requirements

    1. He/she should be only in his/her first year in the previous school
    2. He/she should have no record of failing grade(s) in any major subjects taken from other law schools
    3. He/she should have no record of having dropped two or more subjects during two or more semesters
    4. He/she must meet the Grade Point Average (GPA) requirements for the year level
    5. He/she should pass the oral and written communication examinations
    6. He/she should be willing to waive credits for subjects already taken in the other law school and repeat the same when required by the Dean
    Admission Requirements
    1. Transfer Credentials/Honorable Dismissal from school last attended.
    2. Transcript of Records or Certification by the dean of all the subjects enrolled and the corresponding grades.
    3. Certified true copy of his/her C-1 issued by the CHED.

  • College of Law (First-Year Student)

    An applicant for admission to the first year (freshmen) must have satisfactorily completed the pre-legal course in a recognized college or university. Any graduate of a four-year Bachelor of Science or Arts degree may be admitted as freshmen provided he/she has earned at least 18 units of English, 6 units of Mathematics, and 18 units of Social Sciences. He/she should also pass the Law College Entrance Examination, including the Essay portion, administered by the Office of the Dean. He/she is further required to submit the following:

    1. Original Transcript of Records, with SO and degree indicated therein
    2. Three copies of 2"x2" recent photograph
    3. Birth certificate
    4. Certificate of good moral character from the school he/she last attended

  • Graduate School (Foreign Students)

    Requirements

    1. Earned a Bachelor's degree from a government-recognized institution, supported by:
      • Original transcript of records with Special Order Number indicated therein, plus two(2) photocopies; and
      • Two (2) photocopies of diploma
    2. Grade weighted average of 2.00 or better in the baccalaureate degree for the master's program and 1.75 or better in the master's degree for the doctoral program; [An applicant who scores “average” in the entrance examination but whose GWA is lower than the required average may be admitted on “probation” for one semester and will qualify for readmission if he/she obtains a GWA of 2.00 or better (for master's) and 1.75 or better (for doctoral) at the end of the semester.]
    3. English Language Proficiency based on a TOEIC/TOEFL score or its equivalent. In the absence of TOEIC/TOEFL, applicants whose English proficiency falls short of the standard set by the Graduate School shall be required to enroll for one semester in English for Foreign Students at College of Arts and Sciences. Applicants should come in the first week of May or the first week of October at the latest to enroll in this subject which is taught every semester. Only those who pass the course will be given a Certificate of Completion and will be allowed to enroll in a graduate program.
    4. Certification of employment and study permit, if working in government or private agency
    5. Medical certificate from the UE Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) Memorial Medical Center
    6. Passed the Graduate School Entrance Examination (GSEE)
    7. Two character references, one from a former professor
    8. Fully accomplished application for admission
    9. Interview by a member of the Graduate School Academic Committee
    10. Any other document/requirement that the University may prescribe.
    11. Four (4) 2" x 2" recent colored pictures
    Additional Requirements for Admission to Specific Programs
    MBA/MSCM Executive Program
    1. Five years or more managerial/executive experience
    2. Certification of employment and Permit to Study, if working
    3. Non-BSBA graduates are required to enroll in 15 units basic BSBA subjects
    4. MSCM applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
    MBA/MSCM Regular Program
    1. A prerequisite of 15 units basic BSBA subjects will be required of non-BSBA graduates
    2. MBA, major in Tourism and Hospitality Management must have a bachelor's degree in either Tourism Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Travel Management, Hospitality Management, or other related courses
    3. MSCM applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture
    MAT/MA in Education
    1. Non-education graduates are required to take 12 units of basic education subjects
    2. Must be a major in the area of specialization
    Doctor of Education
    1. Administrative/Supervisory experience in education
    Doctor of Information Technology
    1. Has earned a master's degree in ITE program (e.g. MSCS, MIS, MIM, MIT) or allied fields
    2. Has research background and development experience in IT
    3. Has relevant professional experience in the field of IT
    Resident Foreign Students
    Additional Requirements
    • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) (Original and one (1) photocopy) or I-card (original and one (1) photocopy) issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID).
    Non-Resident Foreign Students
    Government Requirements (documents must be authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Establishments (PSFEs) located in the individual’s country of origin or residence)
    1. Scholastic records
    2. Documentary proof of support to cover expenses incidental to their studies, such as board and lodging as well as return air tickets
    3. Police Clearance Certificate
    4. Medical Health Certificate, Including standard size chest X-Ray
    If the student is already in the Philippines under a different visa status and is applying for the conversion of such status to that of a student, the medical examination may be performed by a local medical practitioner authorized by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

    University Requirements
    1. Letter of Intent addressed to the Dean of the Graduate School;
    2. Personal History Statement form of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation;
    3. Two (2) Character References;
    4. Transcript of Records/Mark Sheets and Diploma (original and two (2) photocopies) properly authenticated by the Philippine Embassy in his/her respective country;
    5. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) or I-card issued by the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation (BID);
    6. Passport (original and one (1) photocopy);
    7. Four (4) 2"x2" recent colored pictures;
    8. Any other document/requirement that the University may prescribe;
    9. Seventy-Five U.S. dollars (US$75.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as processing fee (check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East);
    10. One Hundred Twenty-Five U.S. dollars (US$125.00) or its peso equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate as acceptance fee upon release of Letter of Acceptance (LOA) (check or money order should be made payable to the University of the East).

  • Graduate School (Local)

    Requirements

    1. Earned a Bachelor's degree from a government-recognized institution, supported by:
      • Original transcript of records with Special Order Number indicated therein, plus two(2) photocopies; and
      • Two (2) photocopies of diploma
    2.
