Requirements

Freshmen
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Must qualify in the University Admission Test
  • Must have complete and valid credentials:
     
    • Original copy of Form 138 (High School card)
    • Certificate of Good Moral Character
    • Photocopy of authenticated birth certificate (NSO)
    • Medical examination certificate issued by the University Physician
    • 2 pieces ID picture
       
  • Must qualify in the average grade requirement
  • Must not have enrolled in any academic or college subject

Transferees
 
  • Must meet all the prescribed requirements of the University
  • Application for Admission to Transfer
  • Interview
  • Average Grade Requirement (GWA)
  • Must have complete and valid credentials:
     
    • Transfer Credentials (formerly known as Certificate of Honorable Dismissal)
    • Copy of Transcript of Records for evaluation purposes

Foreign Students
 
  • Must meet all the prescribed requirements of the DFA and BI
  • Must meet all the prescribed admission requirements of the University

    • 9 (e-1) or (e-2) for foreign government officials and dependents
    • 7 (a) (2) for exchange fellows and scholars sponsored by international organizations
    • 9 (d) for treaty traders
    • 13 (a), 13 (e), 13 (g) for permanent residents
    • LOI 105 for Balikbayan
       
  • University Admission Test
  • Certificate of Completion of a secondary curriculum or its equivalent
  • Original Transcript of Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Service Post
  • Personal Data - Personal History Statement with 2x2 ID picture with white background taken not more than six months prior to submission
  • Notarized Affidavit of Support
  • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)
  • Result of TOEFL
  • Security Clearance from his/her Embassy
  • Resident Guarantor of his/her character
  • Certification of Proficiency in English based on TOEFL score for non-native speakers of English
  • Photocopy of passport duly authenticated by the Philippine Service Post (PSP)

Western Philippines University - Culion (WPU - Culion) is a public educational institution located in Culion, Palawan. The school is one of the campuses of Western Philippines University, an institution of learning that started in 1910 as the Aborlan Farm Settlement School for the Tagbanuas.

Among the campuses in the system, the Culion campus is the only campus that does not have undergraduate programs in its academic roster. It only offers a certificate program in Agriculture Science which can be used as a ladderize program leading to BS in Agriculture. Nevertheless, the university itself is duly accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
