What does Cornell University stand for?


Cornell University is a private institution in the United States that was founded in 1865 by Andrew Dickson White and Ezra Cornell. It is a comprehensive research university in the Ivy League where "any person can find instruction in any study". 

Cornell has seven undergraduate colleges. Each college defines its own academic programs, admits its own students, and provides its own faculty and advising. Cornell's two largest undergraduate colleges are the College of Arts and Sciences and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. It has been co-educational,non-secretarian institution where admission has not been restricted by religion or race.
