Dalhousie University (Dal) is a public educational institution in Canada with three campuses in Halifax and an agricultural campus in Truro.. It was established in 1818 by George Ramsay, the ninth Earl of Dalhousie and Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia.

Dal has 13 main faculties and offers more than 180 programs in the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Programs offered are in the fields of agriculture, architecture, arts, education, computer science, medicine, engineering, law, management, and science.
