What does Georgetown University stand for?


Georgetown University is a private educational institution in the United States. Established in 1789 by John Carroll, it is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit university in the US. 

Georgetown has nine schools that offer undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs. These schools are Georgetown College, Robert E. McDonough School of Business, Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, Georgetown Law, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Nursing and Health Studies, School of Continuing Studies, and McCourt School of Public Policy. 

Since its establishment, Georgetown has become one of the world's top universities, building from its history, values, and commitment to justice and the common good.
