What does Lincoln University stand for?

Lincoln University was founded in 1878 and is the third oldest university in New Zealand. Formerly known as Lincoln College, it was initially a constituent of University of Canterbury. It gained university status in 1990 and changed its name to Lincoln University. 

The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its three faculties: Faculty of Agribusiness and Commerce, Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Faculty of Environment, Society, and Design. It also offers tertiary entrance qualifications and English language courses through University Studies and English Language Division. 

Lincoln University takes pride with their graduates, who have gone to make contributions in different industries. Some notable alumni former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Sir Don McKinnon; Chairman of Air New Zealand, John Palmer; Celebrity Cook, Annabel Langbein, and many more.
