Student MiCos — Minerva Communities — were devised as an improvement on typical college clubs. At Minerva, learning includes growth beyond the academic setting. Through MiCos, students are encouraged to cultivate physical and emotional well-being from outdoor excursions to artistic and spiritual enrichment. MiCos are a platform for sharing interests and maintaining personal balance by providing a flexible structure for personal wellness, enrichment, and growth in various fields — from language, literature, theater, economics, and philosophy to daily exercise, sports, meditation, yoga, and outdoor adventure.
MORE’s two-day camping trip to Samuel P. Taylor State Park in California during a long weekend
One of our many active MiCOs is the Minerva Outdoor Recreation and Exploration (MORE) club. MORE is perfect for the adventurous, nature-loving Minerva student who likes to unwind by taking nature walks, camping trips, or day hikes in breathtaking places accessible from the global residence halls. This MiCo designs meaningful expeditions that bring Minervans together in places outside of the residence halls and in nature.
