Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST) is a public university in Jiangsu, China. The school was founded in 1960 as the Meteorology College of Nanjing University by the China Meteorological Administration. In 1963, the university was renamed to Nanjing Institute of Meteorology until the school adopted its present name in 2004.
NUIST offers associate, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs in areas including atmospheric science, computer science and technology, communication, engineering, management, literature, economics, law, public administration, and agriculture. It has a total land area of 145,930 square meters that caters to more than 19,000 local and international students.
Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology ranks 87th in Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) University Rankings in Mainland China. It also placed in the 301-350th spot for QS Asia University Rankings.
