The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is a public university in Austin, Texas. The university opened for enrollment in 1883 and is the oldest and the flagship institution of the University of Texas System. The main campus is situated on a land area spanning 431 acres. The campus actually holds 17 libraries, making it the seventh largest academic library in the United States.
UT Austin provides a total of 156 undergraduate degree programs, 139 graduate degree programs, and 98 doctoral programs. Some of its top-ranking programs are in Engineering, Business, Communication, Liberal Arts, and Biological Sciences.
