What does University of Kent stand for?

University of Kent, also known as UK's European university, was established in 1965. It has over 20,000 students across its campuses in Canterbury and Medway along with its specialist postgraduate centers in Europe including Athens, Brussels, Paris, and Rome.

The University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in arts, architecture, business, engineering, health, medicine, performing arts, sports, sociology, political science, international studies, mathematics, law, liberal arts, etc.

Throughout the years, the University of Kent has received awards and recognitions by various organizations. It was awarded Gold in the UK Government’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). It won the ‘Outstanding Support for Students’ category at the 2017 Times Higher Education (THE) Awards. The university also placed in the 51st-75th spot in THE's 2019 Europe Teaching Rankings. It is a recipient of an Athena SWAN Charter Bronze award and seven school level Bronze awards for supporting the career progression of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Mathematics (STEMM) areas.
