A decade ago, Edukasyon.ph began with a vision: as K-12 was being introduced in the Philippines, alongside the concept of academic strands and tracks, what if there was one organization that gathered all the information and resources that Filipino students need? And more than that, what if these pieces of information were provided to as many students as possible, without any form of payment from them?

 

It took a bit of time, trial and error, and experimentation before Edukasyon.ph became what it is now. From a learning hub of schools and the programs they offered, Edukasyon.ph slowly transformed itself into an all-in-one education-technology platform. It introduced students to learning abroad opportunities and, later on, provided gamified learning modules to make learning so much more fun. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Edukasyon.ph enhanced its online learning modules to ensure the continuity of learning for students as much as possible. It expanded its gamified learning platform to ensure learners also have life skills (e.g. financial literacy, civic education, sex ed) and even offered a tutorial service, which later spun off — Edge Tutor.

While Edukasyon.ph found its early roots in the digital sphere, it introduced different modalities to better serve the needs of Filipino learners later on. In the last few years, Edukasyon.ph strengthened its training and program implementations in different sectors such as cloud technology, technical vocational, forest conservation, and health. These were done to fully integrate education into the lives of Filipino learners, inside and outside of their classrooms.

So much has happened in the last 10 years. There’s much work to be done and the challenge to transform the education sector is far bigger than us. However, we recognize our part as one of the little puzzle pieces that actively contribute to make it better.
