Follow Your Vote (YouthLED - The Asia Foundation)

The Follow Your Vote project was an initiative by Edukasyon.ph and YouthLed under The Asia Foundation, implemented from June 2021 to May 2022, aimed at engaging students nationwide in the 2022 Philippine National Elections. The core objective was twofold: to get students and youth to register and to educate them as voters.

The project sought to encourage student and youth participation in the elections and educate them on their civic roles and responsibilities. This was primarily executed through Quests — Edukasyon.ph’s gamified learning modules. The Voter’s Registration Quest and Voter’s Education Quest provided learning materials on how to register via COMELEC’s iRehistro and educated students on the power of their vote and how to wield it for issues they care about. The Quests were designed to increase student and youth engagement and could be shared within schools and youth organizations.

The campaign was received well by youth audiences. It successfully leveraged the youth’s existing interest in the elections and tapped the band Ben&Ben for a session, which further boosted engagement. 

The project reached more than a million individuals across the country. This indicates a strong foundation for future campaigns focusing on election, post-election, and civic education among younger audiences.
