Admission Requirements - Freshmen: 

1. Original form 138 (Report Card)

2. Certification of good moral character signed by the school head or his authorized representative

3. Performance in the Entrance Examination administered by the Office of the Students Affairs.

4. Two (2) copies 2″x2″ ID pictures

5. Quotas and other requirements as required by the specific courses /college units set- up by the respective offices of the Deans.

6. Satisfactory performance in high school.

7. All colleges will require the applicants to undergo an interview.

1. Transcript of Records

2. Honorable dismissal or Transfer Credentials

3. Performance in the Entrance Examination administered by the Office of the Students Affairs.

Iloilo Science and Technology University - Miag-ao (ISTU - Miag-ao) was founded in 1945 as Miagao Regional High School which served the municipalities of Guimbal, Igbaras, Tigbauan, Tubungan, Oton and San Joaquin. It was converted into Miagao Vocational School in 1958 due to the changing needs of the communities that it would be more practical keeping with the people and the natural resources of the place. In 1984, it was changed to Southern Iloilo Polytechnic College and offer one-year technician curriculum. With the pursuant to RA No. 7772, the college has been integrated into Western Visayas College of Science and Technology.

At present, Western Visayas College of Science and Technology-Miagao Campus caters Bachelor programs duly approved and recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs accredited by the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for the educational need of their students.
