Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) is a public university system located in the province of Zamboanga del Norte. It was established in 1996 as the
Jose Rizal Memorial State College through the
Republic Act No. 8193. This law lead to the integration of three provincial schools that time: the
Rizal Memorial Vocational School (RMNVS), the Zamboanga del Norte School of Arts and Trades
(ZNSAT), and the Siocon National Vocational School
(SNVS). Moreover, in 2002, through a
CHED Memorandum, two more schools joined the system: the Katipunan National Agricultural School
(KNAS) and the
Zamboanga del Norte Agricultural College
(ZNAC). One of the premier academic institutions in Zamboanga del Norte, the JRMSU system consists of one main campus in
Dapitan and five satellite campuses located in
Dipolog,
Katipunan, Tampilisan, Siocon, and Sibuco.
