Osmeña Colleges (OC) is a private educational institution in
Masbate City. It was founded by Dr. Anacleto R. Peliño, Sr. in 1948 as the
Osmeña Junior College. The founder wanted to provide a college education to the underprivileged residents of the province. The college was named after the then President Sergio Osmeña, Sr and had initial course offerings in Teacher Education.
Currently, OC provides basic education and higher education programs. Its basic education program includes curricula in Senior High School (SHS), particularly in the
Academic and the
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks. For college students, the school has undergraduate degree courses in
Hotel and Restaurant Management, Computer Science, Teacher Education, Criminology, and
Business Administration. OC also has a
Graduate School department with graduate and post-graduate courses, like MAEd, MPA, and EdD. Additionally,
TVET courses from TESDA are available, like Bread and Pastry Production, Computer System Servicing, and Caregiving.
