St. Mary's Academy of Carmen is a private, Catholic school in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. It was established in 1963 to address the lack of Catholic education for the less privileged students in the area. It was initially named Cathedral High School and was open for first year and second year high school students. In 1975, the school started offering a 2-year course in Agricultural technology. The introduction of this agricultural course led to the school to be renamed Cathedral School of Technology. Since its foundation, the school was under the administration of the sisters of the Religious of the Virgin Mary (RVM). Celebrating the Jubilee Year of the patroness of RVM, the school was renamed St. Mary's Academy.
SMA Carmen currently offers the Basic Education program, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten to Grade 6 and Junior High School. The school's high school program has a Level III accreditation from PAASCU.
