Surigao del Norte State University, formerly the
Surigao State College of Technology, is a state university system based in Surigao del Norte. The school was the result of the integration of the Surigao School of Arts and Trades (est. 1969) and Malimono School of Fisheries in 1998. And just recently, the institution became a university by the virtue of
RA 10600. Currently, it has four campuses in the entire province---Surigao City (main campus),
Mainit,
Malimono, and
Del Carmen.
The Surigao del Norte State University provides undergraduate and graduate courses of various fields, ranging from
Industrial Technology to
Elementary Education. In addition to tertiary level programs, the school also offers a senior high school program that provides
Academic and
Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) strands.
